To preserve aquatic biodiversity, boost the breeding of native fish species, and safeguard the livelihoods of local fishing communities, Rafah Foundation successfully conducted its “Fish Fry Release Program 2026.”
Under the guidance and notification of the local administration and upazila fisheries officers, fish fry of various native species were released into the traditional Baheratail Beel in Sakhipur Upazila, Tejpur in Kalihati Upazila, and the flowing Bangshai River in Tangail.
The historic Bangshai River and the vast Baheratail Beel are deeply tied to the environment and livelihoods of the local people. InshaAllah, this timely initiative will play a vital role in enriching aquatic resources, conserving native fish species, and sustaining local livelihoods.
Rafah Foundation remains committed to continuing such impactful activities for environmental conservation and sustainable community development.
