The Fish Restocking Program is a conservation and livelihood initiative led by our charity organization to replenish fish populations in Bangladesh’s rivers, canals, floodplains, and community ponds. By releasing high-quality fingerlings (young fish) into carefully selected water bodies, we aim to restore declining fish stocks, protect aquatic biodiversity, and enhance food and income security for local fishing communities.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
• Promoting sustainable fisheries and biodiversity conservation
• Empowering marginalized fishing families with enhanced livelihood opportunities
• Collaborating with community groups, hatcheries, and local governments for lasting impact
• Ensuring transparency and measurable outcomes for every donation received
Program Goals
1. Stocking Fingerlings: Release fingerlings in 3 different districts initially, spreading it to more districts of Bangladesh (species: e.g., Rohu, Catla, Mrigal, Tilapia) annually into community-managed and natural water bodies.
2. Community Engagement: Build capacity of local fishery committees to co-manage, protect, and monitor stocked areas.
3. Eco-Protection: Support fish sanctuaries and no-fishing zones during breeding seasons to allow natural replenishment.
4. Livelihood Boost: Improve catch yields and income for small-scale fishers by 20–30% in targeted sites.
You can join us with your donation and help the rivers alive with fishes and natural resources.
