Our Commitment:

The Tube Well Installation Program is designed to empower underserved communities by ensuring they have reliable access to clean water. By installing tube wells in areas with limited access to fresh water, we aim to improve public health, reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, and enhance the overall quality of life for hundreds of families.

How It Works:

  1. Installation of Tube Wells:
We focus on installing tube wells in remote rural areas where access to clean water is scarce. These tube wells are strategically placed to serve as a consistent and reliable source of water for households, local businesses, and schools. By providing a direct water supply to the community, we significantly reduce the time and effort spent on fetching water from distant or contaminated sources.
  2. Health Impact:
Clean and safe water is essential for reducing the prevalence of waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, and dysentery, which are common in areas with poor water quality. By providing access to purified water, we help reduce the burden of illness in these communities, contributing to improved public health outcomes. The installation of tube wells directly benefits community members, particularly children, by preventing waterborne diseases and promoting better hygiene practices.

Our Commitment:

Our Community Health Programs focus on ensuring that all individuals, regardless of their socio-economic status, have access to essential healthcare services and information. We believe that health is a fundamental right, and through these initiatives, we aim to protect communities from preventable diseases, raise awareness about important health topics, and provide accessible healthcare to those in need.

How It Works:

  1. Vaccination Drives:
Preventive healthcare is at the heart of our approach to improving community health. We organize regular vaccination drives to protect children and vulnerable populations from preventable diseases such as polio, measles, and pneumonia. These vaccination campaigns are crucial in reducing the spread of infectious diseases and protecting the health of the broader community. By ensuring that children and adults are vaccinated, we help prevent outbreaks and safeguard the health of entire communities.
  2. Health Awareness:
Education is a powerful tool in promoting better health. We conduct health awareness campaigns to provide crucial information about hygiene, sanitation, and disease prevention. These campaigns are particularly focused on rural and marginalized communities, where access to health education is often limited. By informing people about the importance of clean water, proper sanitation, and personal hygiene, we empower them to make healthier choices that improve their overall well-being and reduce the risk of diseases.
  3. Mobile Health Clinics:
Access to healthcare services is a significant challenge in many rural and remote areas. To address this, we operate mobile health clinics that travel to underserved regions, offering free medical services to those who otherwise have little access to healthcare. These clinics provide essential services such as general medical check-ups, maternal and child healthcare, treatment for common illnesses, and health consultations. The mobile clinics are designed to reach communities that would otherwise struggle to access healthcare facilities, ensuring that no one is left without medical attention.

Your donation delivers:
✔️ Free cataract surgeries for the elderly
✔️ Emergency medical camps in remote villages
✔️ Life-saving medicines for impoverished families

“The best charity is to provide health.” (Prophetic tradition)

Our Commitment:

We understand that the challenges faced by the Rohingya refugees are immense, and we are dedicated to offering comprehensive assistance. Through a combination of emergency relief, healthcare, education, livelihood support, and empowerment programs, we aim to improve the quality of life for refugees while also supporting their path to self-reliance and integration into society.

How It Works:
  1. Food Aid:
Ensuring access to basic nutrition is crucial for the well-being of refugees. We regularly distribute essential food items, including rice, lentils, oil, and vegetables, to meet the dietary needs of the refugee population. This food aid helps to alleviate hunger and provides the sustenance required for families to cope with the stresses of displacement.
  2. Medical Assistance:
In the camps, access to healthcare is a major challenge. To address this, Rafah Foundation provides free medical care through mobile clinics and established health centers within the camps. Our medical teams work tirelessly to address urgent health needs, ranging from treating infections to providing maternal care and mental health support. These services are vital in ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of the refugees.
  3. Education and Vocational Training:
Education is a key component of our long-term strategy to help refugees rebuild their lives. We offer educational programs for children and adults, focusing on basic literacy, numeracy, and skills development. Additionally, vocational training is provided to help refugees acquire marketable skills that can lead to greater economic independence. This empowers individuals with the knowledge and abilities necessary to support themselves and their families, even in the face of ongoing challenges.
  4. Livelihood Support:
Refugees often struggle to find stable sources of income, and poverty remains a major issue within the camps. Our livelihood support program helps refugees engage in small-scale income-generating activities, such as tailoring, handicrafts, and agriculture. By providing access to resources and training, we empower refugees to rebuild their lives with dignity and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.

The Fish Restocking Program is a conservation and livelihood initiative led by our charity organization to replenish fish populations in Bangladesh’s rivers, canals, floodplains, and community ponds. By releasing high-quality fingerlings (young fish) into carefully selected water bodies, we aim to restore declining fish stocks, protect aquatic biodiversity, and enhance food and income security for local fishing communities.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:
• Promoting sustainable fisheries and biodiversity conservation
• Empowering marginalized fishing families with enhanced livelihood opportunities
• Collaborating with community groups, hatcheries, and local governments for lasting impact
• Ensuring transparency and measurable outcomes for every donation received

Program Goals
1. Stocking Fingerlings: Release fingerlings in 3 different districts initially, spreading it to more districts of Bangladesh (species: e.g., Rohu, Catla, Mrigal, Tilapia) annually into community-managed and natural water bodies.
2. Community Engagement: Build capacity of local fishery committees to co-manage, protect, and monitor stocked areas.
3. Eco-Protection: Support fish sanctuaries and no-fishing zones during breeding seasons to allow natural replenishment.
4. Livelihood Boost: Improve catch yields and income for small-scale fishers by 20–30% in targeted sites.

You can join us with your donation and help the rivers alive with fishes and natural resources.

Winter brings comfort to many people, but for countless poor and vulnerable individuals, it is a season of severe hardship. People living in Northern Bangladesh and other underserved areas face extreme challenges, as the lack of adequate winter clothing puts their lives at risk. Each year, some individuals living below the poverty line lose their lives to the harshness of winter.

The situation in urban areas is no less critical. In the capital Dhaka alone, nearly 2 million people live in inhumane conditions on sidewalks, in slums, and informal settlements. Beyond Dhaka, millions of people across towns and rural areas throughout the country also endure harsh and difficult living conditions during winter. For all of them, winter is not only physically challenging it brings uncertainty, distress, and threatens their dignity.

In response to this pressing reality, the Rafah Foundation’s Winter Relief Project serves as a vital humanitarian initiative, dedicated to delivering warmth, dignity, and compassion to the most vulnerable. Through the generous support of our donors, we distribute winter clothing and blankets to underprivileged and truly needy communities across Bangladesh, helping them withstand the harsh conditions of the season.
